Filaprint creates custom 3D printed, hand painted land models all over the world.
Used for industry development planning, major project and tourism marketing, and more.
Flat printed topography maps, are often seen as a cluster of confusing lines.
Filaprint has brought those maps to life, allowing better communication about the land.
Land models are made from satellite imagery or 3D data via Drone ( Big special thank you to Brandon with Above Tumbler Ridge ).
The data is manipulated into a file that can be 3D printed, on Filaprints eco-friendly PLA 3D printers. Jody is Filaprints owner and artist, after experiencing the land for her self, she hand paints each model to produce the model. With an artistic touch, Jody is able to add in pipelines, roads, rail ways, trails or anything else you'd like to develop or showcase.
Filaprints unique application for 3D printing has made a breakthrough for industries that need to communicate land. With her newest project working towards a projection system, to allow you to power point through slides of the development process on the 3D model.
Land models are available for anywhere in the world.
Filaprint is located in Canada's UNESCO Global Geopark, Tumbler Ridge B.C. and a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Filaprint has helped several others set up their own 3D printing businesses in the area. Encouraging the 3D printing industry to grow as well as helping others in Northern BC the ability to work from home.
Filaprint is also donating a community 3D printer at the local Library. Getting kids involved and helping folks in the small town print out their own items that are not easily found in town.
THANK YOU , Tumbler Ridge. Tumbler Ridge is Canada's 2nd UNESCO Global Geopark. The Geopark, District, local businesses and locals have been so very supportive and encouraging. This is something unique to small northern communities. I am so very proud of this amazing place, I was able to start a business from my basement and grow into the industry with full support from Tumbler Ridge.
